Responsibility

We take responsibility for salary payments, statutory deductions & employer’s national insurance contributions.

When you use Safeguarding Teachers you know that all of the tiresome paperwork is scrupulously managed. In maintaining our professionalism as an agency we pay our teachers on weekly basis verified by production of a  timesheet signed by the school. We take care of all statutory deductions, indemnifying the school of additional charges. Schools are invoiced weekly for temporary staff or invoiced on commencement for permanent staff, all invoices are subject to VAT.

Full Insurance

We offer full insurance cover, termly contracts and a code of conduct.

When we send you a Safeguarding Teachers Teacher, he or she is fully covered by our liability insurance. Each teacher receives a termly contract and is asked to sign our code of conduct which gives specific guidelines for how a Safeguarding Teachers Teacher is expected to behave during their time at your school. This outlines the aspects surrounding issues such as Discipline, Health and Safety, Registration, Fire Procedures, Equal Opportunities, Procedures in case of accident, etc.

We are following the new Disclosure and Barring Service procedures

We know the paramount importance of vetting which is why we strictly follow Safer Recruitment policies as outlined by The Safer Recruitment Consortium. This ensures that each supply staff that we send to you will have completed a full application, a face to case interview, and will have been fully referenced. In addition to this all supply staff will have an Enhanced DBS certificate which will have been registered for the update service (this means that it does not expire and also allows the organisation to check for themselves should they so wish). To complete the checks an overseas police check will be on file if required and of course they will be checked against NCTL/Prohibited list and Barred list.

Personal Interviews

Every teacher is personally interviewed by us and has references and a personal check.

Safeguarding Supply Personnel undergo an in-depth interview in order to establish their experience, knowledge of National Curriculum, ability to manage a classroom and understanding of safeguarding issues. We also assess their suitability in terms of commitment, character and attitude regarding teaching to gauge their ability in dealing with the differing situations which may arise.
